FIFA World Cup in 360º

yellowBird’s SurroundVideo platform enables Televisa, Mexico’s largest broadcasters to power a thrilling interactive 360º video FIFA World Cup live experience on mobile devices and the Oculus Rift!

Grupo Televisa is bringing fans in Mexico closer to the FIFA World Cup action by livestreaming the games via the SurroundVideo app live from Brazil.

Grupo Televisa will use the yellowBird SurroundVideo platform to power live broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup games using a 360º surround, interactive video experience to viewers at home or on the move.

iOS users can head to the App Store and search for “surround video” to download the app and enjoy the SurroundVideo experience. Oculus Rift users have to contact yellowBird.

Follow Televisa and the Mexican National Soccer team on the following dates to enjoy the experience:

• 13 JUN 2014 – 13:00 Local time – Mexico vs. Cameroon

Utopia, two 360 livestreams 24/7 365 days!

More than a decade after the global hit format Big Brother, John de Mol and his company Talpa launched a new reality format. In Utopia, based on the book Sir Thomas More wrote five centuries ago, fifteen people are to build a society from scratch, with access to only the most basic facilities.

yellowBird has provided the hard- and software for two 360º livestreams broadcasting 24/7 on the Utopia website. Utopia is aired from 1st of January 2014 till 31th of December 2014. After creating a passport on than login on the 360º livestreams which are also available on iOS and Android.

Robinson Island

In cooperation with Media Monks we have produced and developed a 360º video campaign within a Facebook app.

This Robinson Island experience will be used as a teaser for the massively popular Dutch television show; “Expeditie Robinson” and enables the viewer to discover this tropical island and discloses all its secrets.
